What the 1810 alarm means

The three-position enabling switch on the teach pendant reported an invalid state; manual motion is blocked in teach mode. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on EFORT EC2-S controller + TSINO drives systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.

Most common causes

  • Enable switch worn or contaminated
  • Switch held at an intermediate position too long
  • Pendant cable damage causing intermittent signals
  • Pendant drop damage
Field note: the first item on this list is what we find most often on real machines. Check it before you go deeper.

Step-by-step field fix

  1. Work the enable switch through its full travel several times
  2. Check the pendant cable for damage
  3. Try a known-good pendant to isolate the fault
  4. Replace the pendant if the switch is worn
  5. Never tape or bypass the enable switch — it is a life-safety device
Safety first: never bypass safety circuits or force contactors closed. If the alarm involves E-stop chains, brakes or drive power, and you are not a trained robot technician, contact a professional — wrong moves here can cost you a robot or an injury.
