What the SRVO-136 alarm means
The amplifier hardware detected an abnormal current condition. In field practice this points strongly to a failed servo amplifier power stage. This is one of the faults our repair team handles most often — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- Servo amplifier power module failure (most likely)
- Motor or cable short (rule out first)
- Control power instability
Step-by-step field fix
- Megger-test motor and cable to rule out shorts
- Swap the amplifier with a known-good unit - alarm follows the amp = replace it
- After amp replacement, monitor motor temperature on the affected axis
