What the 0x000031 alarm means
The DC bus voltage inside a joint module or the controller is outside the valid window — too high from regeneration or too low from a weak supply. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on JAKA Zu / JAKA Pro cobots (APP) systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- Incoming supply voltage out of range
- Braking resistor path open (overvoltage case)
- Loose power connectors (undervoltage case)
- Power supply module aging
Step-by-step field fix
- Measure the incoming AC/DC supply against the nameplate
- Check all power connectors for tightness
- Inspect the braking resistor and wiring
- Reduce deceleration rates and retry
- If voltage is stable, suspect the power module and contact service

Sometimes. Work through the step-by-step checks on this page — the first listed cause is what we find most often in the field. If the alarm returns after two attempts, or the fault involves power, brakes or safety circuits, stop and call a qualified robot service engineer.
