What the E.11 alarm means

The safety controller reports the E-stop chain open; servo power cannot be applied until the chain is closed again. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on ESTUN ERC / ED3L controller + ESTUN servo systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.

Most common causes

  • A cabinet or pendant E-stop button pressed
  • Safety fence gate switch open
  • Loose wiring in the E-stop loop
  • Faulty safety relay
Field note: the first item on this list is what we find most often on real machines. Check it before you go deeper.

Step-by-step field fix

  1. Walk the cell and release every E-stop button — twist to release, then reset
  2. Close and latch all fence gates; check gate switch alignment
  3. Check the E-stop loop wiring terminal by terminal if the chain stays open
  4. Test the safety relay with a meter
  5. Reset the safety circuit on the pendant and re-enable servos
Safety first: never bypass safety circuits or force contactors closed. If the alarm involves E-stop chains, brakes or drive power, and you are not a trained robot technician, contact a professional — wrong moves here can cost you a robot or an injury.
