What the D0001 alarm means
D-codes are Kawasaki's most severe class — a power cycle is required to reset. D0001 means the main CPU (TA) board itself has failed self-test. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on Kawasaki E / F / C series (AS language) systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- Main CPU board hardware failure
- Corrupted system software
- Severe power event damaging the board
Step-by-step field fix
- Save all data you can: CMOS.BIN, job files, parameters, before any board work
- Power-cycle the controller once
- If the error returns, swap in a replacement main CPU board
- Restore CMOS.BIN and parameters to the replacement board
- Run a full axis check and program playback test in check mode
