What the D1028 alarm means
A DC supply rail on the servo board drifted out of rated range. When this appears together with D1562/E1294/E1300, fix D1028 first — the others usually clear with it. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on Kawasaki E / F / C series (AS language) systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- AVR (control power supply) voltage misadjusted
- Failing AVR unit
- Defective servo board
Step-by-step field fix
- Measure the 5 V test points on the power sequence board; adjust into the 5.05-5.15 V window
- If adjustment does not hold, replace the AVR
- If the rail is still wrong with a good AVR, replace the servo board
- Power-cycle and re-check all related DC alarms
- Record measured rail voltages in the maintenance log
