What the E1027 alarm means
The hardware safety chain (E-stop loop, guard doors, external safety devices) is open; motor power is held off until the chain closes. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on Kawasaki E / F / C series (AS language) systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- An E-stop in the cell is still pressed
- Guard door switch open or misaligned
- Safety loop wiring broken or a maintenance jumper left out
- Faulty external safety relay
Step-by-step field fix
- Release every E-stop and close all guards in the cell
- Trace the safety loop against the wiring diagram
- Check external safety relay state
- Reset the error and confirm motor power can be turned on
- Never bypass the safety chain to keep production running
