What the 10005 alarm means
The joint encoder reports invalid data or lost communication; the position loop cannot close and the joint is disabled. This is one of the faults our repair team handles on AUBO i-series / C-series (ARCS SDK) systems — the cause is usually identifiable within the first on-site inspection.
Most common causes
- Encoder connector loose inside the joint
- Cable fatigue from repeated torsion
- EMI corrupting the encoder signal
- Encoder hardware failure
Step-by-step field fix
- Power-cycle and check whether the error returns at enable
- Inspect joint cabling for damage
- Separate signal cables from high-current runs
- Re-run joint zeroing after the signal is stable
- Replace the joint module if the encoder fault persists

QCan I clear a AUBO 10005 alarm myself?
Sometimes. Work through the step-by-step checks on this page — the first listed cause is what we find most often in the field. If the alarm returns after two attempts, or the fault involves power, brakes or safety circuits, stop and call a qualified robot service engineer.
